South Korea’s Hanwha Corporation developed the Biho 2, which is based on a new 8x8 chassis derived from the 6x6 Tigon armored personnel carrier (APC). The Biho 2 is a next-generation air defense system with a powerful solution against all aerial threat (rockets, missiles, and weaponized drones). The Biho 2 will be fitted with multiple weapon systems of universal missile and gun platform, included one 30 or 40mm cannon able to fire airburst ammunition, a new type of tactical anti-personnel explosive ammunition that detonates in midair, causing air burst effect fragment damage to an enemy.
