Hot Air Balloon Makes Splash Landing

The crash happened in a lake in the town of Almere, 21 miles from Amsterdam. Eleven people were in the balloon at the time and two people were taken to hospital with minor injuries. Amateur footage shows how the basket of the balloon hit the water and floated towards the shore. The balloon eventually billows out onto a road, in the path of oncoming traffic. The Coast Guard sent two lifeboats to Almere, but did not have to assist, as people were able to make there own way out of the water.
