SM-3 Block IIA Intercepts Ballistic Missile Target in Test

SM-3 Block IIA completed its first successful intercept flight test at the Pacific Missile Range Facility. Launched from the USS John Paul Jones, the interceptor engaged and destroyed a target resembling an advanced ballistic missile threat.
