Nimitz Returns Home, Sailor Proposes

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - San Diego families are welcoming back sailors aboard the USS Nimitz Thursday. The aircraft carrier is docked at Naval Air Station North Island after completing an eight month deployment. The carrier serves as the flagship for Carrier Strike Group 11, Carrier Air Wing 11, and Destroyer Squadron 23.
