USN EA-6B Prowler
The U.S. Navy's EA-6B Prowler entered operation in 1971 and after serving in every major aerial conflict since the Vietnam War was finally retired in June 2015. The four-seat electronic warfare aircraft was the Navy's main aerial platform for jamming enemy radar and communications for nearly 45 years. The Prowler will be replaced by the EA-18G Growler which is based on the F/A-18F Super Hornet airframe.
