Veterans in Media and Entertainment is holding an Army-Navy Game viewing party at the State Social House on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood on Saturday, December 9, from 11am-4pm PT.

If you're in LA and trying to get your foothold in show business, this is an event where you'll have a chance to network with others like yourself and maybe even a few experienced hands who might give you some solid career advice.

VME (the organization formerly knowns as Veterans in Film & TV) is holding the event to raise $25,000 to fund a new, more functional website, a project which will include the creation of a job and internship board on the site.

That means tickets aren't cheap, but it's a chance to introduce yourself to an organization that's making a difference for veterans looking to establish careers in Hollywood.

You can get your tickets here.

$85 gets you admission to the event, 1 Commemorative Army/Navy Game T-shirt (dashing and stylish), 1 buffet brunch ticket, 1 free drink ticket and all day $5 drink specials

$150 gets you all of the above plus1 Reserved Valet Parking place, 1 Unlimited Mimosas & Bloody Marys ticket and 2 VIP tickets to a 2018 VME Guest Speaker Event of your choice (past guests include Jon Voight, Gary Sinise, Mykelti Williamson, and Graham Yost).

If you can't attend and think events like these, you can sponsor a veteran on VME's waiting list. And, for the incredibly generous, you can do things like buy an entire table. Full details are available on the Eventbrite page.

Parking can be a nightmare on that stretch of the Strip, so you should probably take an Uber or a Lyft so you can take full advantage of the refreshments on offer.
