Vince Flynn's beloved spy character Mitch Rapp comes to movie theaters on September 15 with the release of American Assassin, starring Dylan O'Brien (The Maze Runner) as Mitch Rapp and the legendary Michael Keaton as his mentor Stan Hurley.
The producers have chosen to tell Mitch's origin story and cast a young actor in the role. If this is good and it works for movie audiences, they'll have an opportunity to bring all of Flynn's novels to the screen as O'Brien ages into the role.
We've got an exclusive clip from the movie that features Mitch Rapp's early tactical training. Stan Hurley gives a lesson in how to properly use a knife to eliminate your enemy and begins to teach his men and women how to perform in combat. He warns them that they're on their own in the field: "No one is coming back for you."
We've got on-camera interviews with the cast coming the week of the movie's release, so check back then for more details on the movie.
