"Heart of Invictus" is set to be the first program that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will release under their big-ticket production deal at Netflix.

The series will follow competitors as they train for the Invictus Games, an international competition founded by Harry in 2014 to bring together wounded warriors for an Olympic-style international competition.

The documentary will be directed by Orlando von Einsiedel and produced by Joanna Natasegara, the team behind "The White Helmets," which won the Oscar for Best Documentary (Short Subject) at the 2017 Academy Awards.

The fifth Invictus Games were scheduled to take place in May 2020 at the Hague, Netherlands, but they've now been delayed until May 2022 as the world recovers from the coronavirus pandemic. The sixth games will follow a year later in 2023 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

"Since the very first Invictus Games back in 2014, we knew that each competitor would contribute in their own exceptional way to a mosaic of resilience, determination and resolve. This series will give communities around the world a window into the moving and uplifting stories of these competitors on their path to the Netherlands next year," Prince Harry said in a statement released by Netflix.

Harry may have quit his official royal family role, but he's as committed as ever to helping give fellow veterans a sense of accomplishment as they face challenges brought on by injuries they received during their service.

Considering that the next games will take place 13 months from now, look for this show to run on Netflix in the summer or fall of 2022.
