A national contest organized by 7-Eleven, 'Operation: Take Command,' is taking applications from military men and women who have been honorably discharged. To qualify, veterans must be 21 years or older, be a U.S. resident, must have excellent credit and at least three years of leadership experience in retail or restaurants. The grand prize is winning a 7-Eleven franchise without having to pay the franchise fee, an amount that typically ranges up to $190,000. Veterans must enter the contest before February 26, 2016.
