We've all seen the videos or movie scenes -- dozens of troops run across a dusty field, suddenly dropping to one knee into the dirt as bullets fly overhead. Explosions wrack the landscape with debris as mortars detonate all around.

Each second of a firefight is painstakingly choreographed through hours of military training and practice. Each troop knows where to run, when to shoot and how to communicate with his teammates. Still, things can quickly go wrong.This is a military firefight -- one of the most dangerous parts of modern warfare.
