Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly called the review "a solemn duty."

The commanding officer of NAS Pensacola called them heroes.

The shooter is dead, and three victims have lost their lives.

Jets Nos. 1 and 3 made contact Wednesday while training at their home base at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida.

A Marine private first class will head to court for a motions hearing Thursday after being accused of unpremeditated murder.
