Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) is gearing up for a week of special savings and promotions specifically designed to show appreciation to retirees. However, all authorized AAFES patrons will be allowed to participate in the discounts and events.
The event, called "Still Serving," will take place from 3 October 2014 to 9 October 2014. There will be in-store events, which will vary by store, and also online discounts and giveaways.
The online discount will be 10% off of one online purchase of $100 or more from the www.shopmyexchange.com website. If you've never looked at the AAFES website, you might be surprised by the wide selection of products available there.
There will also be a contest at the AAFES Facebook page at www.facebook.com/AAFES.BX.PX. Prizes include:
- A 10-piece Calphalon Unison Slide & Sear nonstick cookware set valued at $519.
- Nine Cuisinart kitchen appliances valued at $2,000.
- Special edition Harley-Davidson tool storage with a 309-piece mechanics tool set valued at $1,800.
