Many commenters are reporting that they did not get paid on 1 October 2013, or that their payments were smaller than usual. There was a huge rash of comments early in the day, and I think that most of them were resolved as the day went on. However, there do seem to be a few people who still haven't been paid OR received smaller payments.
I'm trying to get an idea how many people are affected. Could you please leave a comment if you weren't paid, or received a smaller payment? Please include the following information:
- What type of payment: military retirement, VA disability, Survivor Benefit Plan, GI Bill, etc?
- No payment or smaller payment?
- What bank or credit union you use?
- What steps have you taken to figure out the problem? i.e. checking Retiree Account Statement, called VA, asked bank.
Please DO NOT include any personally identifying information such as name, address, telephone number, social security number, or bank account number.
