Wow - it seems like new military resources are popping up all over the place. Today, I learned about In Gear Career, a non-profit organization for military spouses. In Gear Career offers career development, information sharing, and networking opportunities.
The mission of In Gear Career is:
To promote and advance the employment, career development and networking opportunities for military spouses across all professional occupations by enabling the exchange of accurate, timely and topical information through local and online community building efforts and advocacy programs.
In Gear Career is run by military spouses, for military spouses. Resources include career assessment and development information, local area chapters, and lots more. You do have to register to access most information, but it is free.
It is great to see so many resources available, even if it can be overwhelming to figure out which tools will best help you develop your career.
