Looking for a vacation and trying to save some money? Carnival Cruise Line has recently announced that it is offering special military discounts on cruises booked now through 30 April 2013. Travel must be completed by 31 August 2013.
The offer amount is based upon the length of the cruise. Three to five day cruises may be eligible for a discount of up to $300 per stateroom, and a shipboard credit of up to $50 per stateroom. Longer cruises may be eligible for a discount of up to $600 per stateroom, and a shipboard credit of up to $100 per stateroom.
This offer is open to current and "former" military personnel. The announcement does not define "former" military personnel - I think you'll have to check with them to see if you meet their specific criteria. The eligible person must travel with the group, and must provide proof of eligibility. There is a surprising lack of specifics in the news release, and it does include the line "certain other restrictions apply." How unhelpful is that?
Bookings may be made through your travel agent, by calling 1-800-CARNIVAL, or by visiting Carnival.com. There is no coupon code or discount number listed.
Let me know if you decide to take advantage of this offer. A good cruise can be a nice vacation, and discounts are always good!
