For the many veterans who want to get discounts at Lowes and Home Depot, this is one of your weekends. Both major home improvement stores offer a military discount all year long, and a veteran's discount several times a year. Memorial Day weekend is one of the times that the veteran's discount is in effect. Take advantage of 10% off of your purchase with some type of identification that shows that you are a veteran. (To the best of my knowledge, they are pretty lenient these weekends.)
