It has been more than 70 years since the 21-year-old, WWII Navy ensign Harold DeMoss crashed in his plane in a remote outcrop on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. DeMoss went down during a night flight training on July 23, 1945. DeMoss' recently retrieved remains are being buried in Nashville. Some 83,000 fallen soldiers from past wars have not come home.
