Walmart is launching a new e-commerce site dedicated to selling officially-licensed products from all five branches of the military. The site will present an opportunity for consumers to "Shop to Salute" in the weeks leading up to the holiday season. A portion of the royalties from sales of licensed products from the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps will fund Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) programs of their respective branches. The MWR program provides military members and their families quality of life programs and services aimed to boost morale and resiliency, with benefits such as fitness centers, libraries, parks and picnic areas, restaurants, family child care and youth and school aged services.
