The Air Force’s dormant 420th Flight Test Squadron has reactivated to help plan, test, analyze and report on testing of the service’s future B-21 Raider bomber, according to a recent news release. The squadron falls under the 412th Test Wing, part of the Air Force Test Center headquartered at Edward Air Force Base, California. The B-21 is a next-generation stealth bomber to be made by Northrop Grumman. The first test aircraft will be manufactured in Palmdale, California. The first flight of the first B-21 will take it from Palmdale to Edwards, where extensive testing and evaluation will begin. Read more at AF.mil.
