Currently, the active Army is on target to establish 41 trained cyber protection teams by 2018, with an additional 21 teams between the Army National Guard and Army Reserve. These teams will require Soldiers to have completed the new Military Occupational Specialty series 17, cyber operations, in addition to possessing the necessary security clearance and technical certifications. The Army has also created an "E4" additional skill identifier. Cyber Soldiers will be able to access expanded cyber educational programs.
