As summer vacation is upon us, the Security Office in Vicenza, Italy encourages Soldiers and Department of the Army civilians to review Department of State travel advisories for travel warnings before planning any trip. Members should request information from the servicing Security Office about the specific requirements applicable to their travel locations. Per Army Regulation 380-67, the Security Office must be informed of any travel outside the borders of the country before departure and again upon return. Family members should register with the embassy of the country they plan to visit through the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) prior to departure.
