An Arizona physician is researching the link between dementia among veterans and conditions including post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). The program is designed for aging veterans with PTSD and TBI and aims to prevent dementia from setting in or getting worse. The research revolves around workbooks, which are given to the veterans who enroll as patients. Veterans complete the workbooks over the course of several weeks alongside volunteers.
