The Navy has instituted the new online Periodic Health Assessment for regular health requirements. Previously, service members were required to fill out a paper form. The new process also includes a required annual mental health assessment (MHA) and requires an in-person review of the mental health assessment with a provider. The new online assessment can be accessed on the ePHA website by home or by government computer and a Common Access Card is recommended but not needed.
