The Navy has announced the General Military Training courses for fiscal 2020, which starts in October. This year’s required courses are: sexual assault prevention and response awareness; cyber awareness challenge; counterintelligence awareness and reporting; privacy act; and suicide prevention. Sailors with less than three years of service must also complete Antiterrorism Level 1 training. The Navy has reduced the number of mandatory courses over the years and left the decision about additional courses up to commanding officers, asking that they determine the frequency and method of any additional training courses they deem appropriate for their command.
