The U.S. Navy has announced that Cryptologic Technician (Networks) Sailors serving as Interactive On-Net Operators (ION) are eligible for Special Duty Assignment Pay as of Apr. 13. In order for a Sailor to be eligible, he or she must be paygrade E-3 or higher and approved in writing by his or her commanding officer as fully qualified and serving in a qualified special duty assignment. Qualified IONs who have the Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) 9308 will receive $150 per month and those with the NEC 9326, 9327 or 9328 will receive $300 per month.
