A new two-week course for U.S. Navy Command Pay and Personnel Administrators (CPPA) launched July 30. The two-week CPPA course is designed to train Sailors in the following ratings: personnel specialist (PS); yeoman (YN); yeoman (submarines) (YNS); Navy counselor (NC); designated Sailors in commands without a PS, YN, YNS or NC; and designated civilian personnel. Successful completion of the course results in Sailors being awarded the A16A Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC). Future courses will be taught at both Dam Neck, Va. and San Diego, Calif.
