This year, the Chief of Naval Personnel has implemented a new required training called "Chart the Course." The new training highlights many issues faced by Sailors where both simple and complex decisions may need to be made. The training is conducted by command facilitators selected by individual commands. Chart the Course training also fulfills General Military Training requirements for Hazing; Operational Risk Management; and Alcohol, Drug, and Tobacco Awareness Command-Assigned Readiness-Enhancement. All Sailors must complete the Chart the Course training before Sept. 30. Commands may access Chart the Course training information via the NPC 21st Century Sailor webpage.
