Sailors applying for a background check will no longer need to submit a hard copy of their fingerprints. Officials saw the requirement as contributing to the background check system’s backlog. Instead, starting now all fingerprints will be submitted electronically through the Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission Plus program. Read more at Navy.mil.
