Plans have been made to build the National Native American Veterans Memorial at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, DC. The memorial will be built on The Mall. Congress approved the memorial in 1994, but did not authorize fundraising for it until 2013. The memorial is scheduled to be unveiled on Veterans Day in 2020.
