The Marine Corps has announced the 2019 recipients of the Marine Corps Aviation Association John Glenn Squadron Marine Aviation Acquisition Awards. According to a Marine Corps announcement, the Sen. John H. Glenn Test Pilot/Naval Flight Officer of the Year is Lt. Col. Frederic R. Neubert, of Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 21, Naval Test Wing Atlantic. The Lt. Gen. Michael A. Hough Acquisition Officer of the Year is Lt. Col. Alex J. Ramthun, of the AV-8B Harrier Program Office, Naval Air Systems Command. The C. Gunnery Sergeant Sean Joyce/Master Gunnery Sergeant Gary Leader Acquisition Staff Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year is Gunnery Sgt. Nathan J. Marple, of the Small Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Program Office, Naval Air Systems Command. The citations and trophies will be presented at a formal dinner banquet held at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland, on Feb. 28. Read more at the Marine Corps website.
