Soldiers, Airmen and military families at select military installations will soon have access to the latest wellness trend: cryotherapy. The Army & Air Force Exchange Service has partnered with U.S. Cryotherapy to open the first cryotherapy center on a military installation at Fort Hood in November. Centers at Forts Benning and Jackson are already planned, and the Exchange has received requests from Command to bring cryotherapy to Army posts and Air Force bases at several installations throughout the country. The cold treatment services aim to promote faster recovery and better athletic performance. U.S. Cryotherapy offers a variety of cold therapy services, including Whole Body Cryotherapy that does not use liquid nitrogen or other hazardous chemicals.
