Navy military and civilian personnel in certain locations in the United States are taking part in a Defense Department (DoD) Integrated Lodging Program Pilot. The pilot program brings changes to DTS when booking official travel online. A list of the affected locations is available on the U.S. Navy website at www.navy.mil/submit/display.asp?story_id=87693. Service members and civilian travelers who are TAD to a military installation at an Integrated Lodging Program Pilot site are required to first book government lodging if available, and then preferred commercial lodging. When TAD to a pilot site, city or metro area, travelers will be directed to use DoD preferred commercial lodging before booking other lodging options. For more information, including FAQs and a description of the new DTS functionality, visit the Integrated Lodging Program Pilot webpage at www.defensetravel.dod.mil/site/lodging.cfm.
