Service members and families whose military moves have been put on hold thanks to the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, pandemic could receive financial help from the Defense Department, according to guidance updated March 18. A 60-day global stop-movement order issued March 13 and put in place March 16 delayed all permanent change-of-station moves worldwide, leaving many troops and families in the process of moving homeless, thanks to terminated leases or sold homes.
