Marine officers who want to be a part of the Navy's premier flight demonstration team can now apply to be considered for the 2020-2022 show seasons. According to a Marine Administrative Message, the Blue Angels may select one Marine C-130 demonstration pilot and one Marine F/A-18 demonstration pilot to join the team. Applicants should be career-designated officers; F/A-18 pilot applicants should be carrier-qualified tactical jet pilots with at least 1250 hours of flight time by Sept. 30, 2019, while C-130 pilot applicants must have 1200 flight hours by that date and hold a transport plane commander rating in the C-130 F/R/T or J-model aircraft.
