Soldiers with 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, and 2nd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, joined forces recently to train on new electronic warfare equipment and procedures, according to a release. New equipment being fielded in stages to the Army for electronic warfare includes a Sabre Fury EW system and a VROD Modular Adaptive Transmit, or VMAX, which transmits information and messages to the laptop-based EW system Raven Claw, which then processes the information for planning. The combined system allows soldiers to communicate better and to jam enemy communication. 2nd ABCT's electronic warfare soldiers plan to use the equipment in coming months to train and employ the capabilities in support of the unit's scheme of maneuver.
