Commanders throughout U.S. Army Europe (USAREUR) are reviewing force protection measures to prevent and mitigate possible acts of violence directed against the Army and ensure the safety of USAREUR Soldiers, Families and civilian employees. The review emphasizes threat awareness training at all levels, including identification of potential threats, reporting procedures and continued enforcement of force protection policies. The review may result in the implementation of new or refined force protection methods to ensure the continued safety of the USAREUR community. These methods may be tested as part of the periodic force protection exercises conducted by each garrison.
