Fort Leonard Wood is scheduled to receive the new Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP) uniform between October and December of this year, which will be part of the third wave of official uniform shipments. The transition to the OCP uniform will take place over the next four years and the Army is scheduled to have full implementation by October 2019. OCP uniform should cost the same as the Army Combat Uniform does now, but there is a chance that the prices could go up at the beginning of the fiscal year. Troops should budget their upcoming annual clothing allowance to purchase the new uniform. Over the next four years, Soldiers can mix and match items with either the Operation Enduring Freedom Camouflage Pattern (OEFCP) or the OCP. Soldiers will also be allowed to wear the OEFCP flame resistant ACU's during this time of transition. For more information, contact your local military clothing sales outlet.
