An Air Force officer and astronaut who was part of an aborted space flight mission last year is finally en route to the International Space Station. Col. Nick Hague is one of three astronauts, two American and one Russian, who successfully launched March 14 from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. According to an Air Force release, Hague will join the Expedition 59 crew, conducting hundreds of research investigations and tech demonstrations to advance scientific knowledge. The initial Oct. 11 mission was aborted when a rocket booster failed to detach after the astronauts reached zero gravity. The other astronauts on the mission are Christina Koch of NASA and Russian cosmonaut Alexey Ovchinin. Read more at AF.mil.
