The U.S. Air Force has selected 467 active-duty officers for promotion to colonel in the Chaplain, Line of the Air Force and Nurse Corps, and to lieutenant colonel in the Chaplain and LAF — Judge Advocate competitive categories as a result of the CY17D Central Selection Board. The boards selected 402 lieutenant colonels for promotion to colonel and 65 majors for promotion to lieutenant colonel. The U.S. Air Force has selected 875 first lieutenants for promotion to captain during the 2017C Captain Line of the Air Force, chaplain, Line of the Air Force — judge advocate, nurse corps, medical service corps and biomedical sciences corps quarterly selection process.
