Active-duty line of the Air Force captains proficient in the Spanish language may be eligible to attend the Inter-American Squadron Officer School (ISOS). The course requires specific language proficiency levels and fitness standards, so interested captains should begin preparing now to make sure they have time to complete all the required documents and coordinate the application for their senior raters' endorsements. Fiscal year 2016 class dates will be Oct. 8-Dec. 10; Feb. 12-April 13, 2016 and June 3-Aug. 3, 2016. Commander endorsed applications are due by July 23.
