KRISS USA recently launched a new division focused on importing antique firearms for sale to collectors in the U.S.
Edelweiss Arms, which will specialize in Swiss firearms, is a direct-to-consumer e-commerce business that "leverages strategic partnerships in Switzerland, and throughout Europe, to source only the highest grade and historically significant collector's firearms," according to a recent press release.
KRISS USA is known for producing the Vector family of submachine guns.
"This is an exciting new venture for our business, and we're looking forward to providing some value to the collector's market in the United States," Tim Seargeant, marketing manager for KRISS USA, said in the release.
"Edelweiss Arms is positioned to provide the discerning collector in the United States unprecedented access to some of the most pristine condition antique ... firearms from Europe. Additionally, our Edelweiss Arms website is designed to streamline the decision making and ordering process, to reduce the guess work that is traditionally associated with shopping for collector's pieces."
Initial offerings will include a wide variety of Schmidt-Rubin rifles. In addition to long arms, Edelweiss Arms also boasts a selection of Luger pistols in different variations from "Waffenfabrik Bern (W+F Bern) and Deutsche Waffen Munitions Fabriken (DWM)," according to the release.
Other handguns include several SIG P210 semi-automatic pistols as well as the P49, the Swiss military version of the P210 Target. Edelweiss Arms also specializes in antique firearms, as defined by 27 CFR 478.11, which can be transferred in the United States without a Federal Firearms License, the release states.
