Billy's Custom Gun Works has a new paracord sling out. He's calling it the "Survivor" sling. It utilizes 550 paracord, D-rings from ITW, webbing and elastic to create an adjustable sling with a quick detach compact integrated tourniquet carrier. The latter piece has red paracord built in to indicate it is a medical implement. Built in collaboration with Tareinco, this sling (like everything BCGW makes) is 100% American made. It is, he advises, "...easily deployable...is held in well by the elastic loops and can be slid out easily enough when it is needed..."
"Survivor" sling from Billy's Custom Gun Works and Tareinco.
Prices haven't been decided yet (this is a brand new creation) but it looks like the basic non-TQ sling is going to sell for $75, $85 for the TQ sling if the customer supplies the TQ, or approximately $100 for the entire sling with TQ. As for the tourniquets, this model will accommodate an SOF-T or C-A-T.
If you want one, you'll have to check out the BCGW Facebook page. Stand by for further from Tareinco as well; I've been talking to Mark Basa from that company and they've got some cool stuff I need to tell you about.
More to follow.
