The Marketing Communications Coordinator focuses on internal and external communications and events. The position requires the ability to interact and collaborate with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Expert-level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability, and attention to detail are equally important.  

 

Who you are and what you will be doing: 

Communications:

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Create an internal and external communications plan and content calendar
  • Review/revise the emergency disaster media plan
  • Establish internal and external branding standards and maintain a central repository.
  • Create branded templates: corporate calendar, corporate documents, reports and presentations, job descriptions, employee pulse surveys, and social media posts.
  • Execute the Annual Employee Feedback Survey conducted each year.
  • Responsible for Employee Communications: weekly Connection, annual ESOP & Benefits Newsletters, monthly KBA Newsletter
  • Responsible for connecting with all Business Functions for their communications needs
  • Maintain Employee Business Cards, Photos
  • Create, post and monitor content on social media to enhance KBA’s reputation
  • Create, design, and layout the website for interface, navigation, and aesthetics. Monitor and update the company website annually.
  • Responsible for all graphics
  • Email Marketing
  • Outreach and Marketing Collateral

 

Events:

Internal Events: Quarterly Safety Meetings, Quarterly Progress Meetings, Awards Banquet, Summer Picnic, Employee Morale Events, Shareholder Meeting

 

Industry Events: ACEC, APWA, KBA Open House, Subconsultant Outreach

Tasks Include but are not limited to:

  • Develop an events calendar
  • Effectively manage internal event activities, including logistics, creative development, budget, timeline, scope, agendas, notes, and staffing plan
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors and associations to ensure seamless event execution
  • Regularly communicate event plan, status, responsibilities, etc., with cross-functional team members
  • Evaluate event execution and request feedback from the team, documenting/reporting overall results for future planning.
  • Travel to and support onsite execution and coordination of key events, including set up and tear down when needed

 

Marketing Support:

  • Analysis and visual presentation of sales metrics
  • Salesforce report writing, PM dashboard development, and metrics analysis and reporting.
  • Assist with proposal development
  • Construct PowerPoint presentations
  • Manage or Produce: proposal covers, Excel tables, organizational charts, and large-format interview graphics for specific project proposals and pursuits
  • Research, order, and design tradeshow giveaways, employee gifts, and branded promotional items
  • Design and produce visual elements of targeted sales collateral, including capabilities statements, brochures, handouts, and an annual Statement of Qualifications

 

Special Projects:

  • Specific Project Newsletters/Reports
  • Video Projects: Plan, film, and edit videos for training and marketing needs
  • Support Corporate documentation, presentation, and reporting needs

Requirements

What you’ll need to be successful (minimum requirements):

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent work experience 5-10 years of experience in A/E/C marketing/communication roles preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Publisher —is required.

 

What we’d love if you had (preferred requirements):

  • Knowledge and use of SharePoint is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of graphic design programs (Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) and Canva and experience using a website content management system is preferred.
  • The ability to lift 25 pounds, such as boxes of records, is required.

  • The ability to sit at a workstation and perform data entry is required.

  • The ability to walk, stand, and stoop for prolonged periods as may be necessary to access and prepare files is required.

  • A valid driver’s license and maintenance of a good driving record are required.
