The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join our team as a member of our growing Accounting and Finance division. If you have a strong attention to detail, think analytically and are a problem solver than this may be the job for you. In this role, you will supervise the accounts receivable function and the direct oversight of the accounts receivable specialist.

People and Projects:

As the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, you will serve as the lead contact for internal and external questions and concerns. This includes creating performance plans, assessing performance, and providing performance feedback. You will also provide accounting assistance and respond to financial questions and concerns to meet the business needs.

Accounts Receivable:

The person in this role will oversee and streamline accounts receivable (AR) processes and ensure the accuracy of daily AR activities. You will prioritize daily production needs and daily transactions of accounts receivable specialist. Additionally, you will troubleshoot AR problems and offer solutions. Assisting in the month end close and providing audit support is another aspect of this position.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry


Bachelor's degree in business or an accounting emphasis or combination of education and experience equivalent required.
5-7 year of AR experience with at least 2 years of supervisory level preferred.
Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate direct reports required.
Knowledge of state mechanics lien law procedures and sales tax laws pertaining to construction preferred.
Knowledge of billing practices in construction preferred.
Demonstrates strong attention to detail, organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills required.
Self-motivated; deadline oriented with strong attention to detail required.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.
Proven ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment required.

The pay range for this position is $58,410 - $94,100 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
