Some doctors were startled to discover the new "payment arrangement" for those willing to accept TRICARE patients. Currently most doctors receive 10 percent less than Medicare pays for their TRICARE beneficiaries. The new contract, to take effect Jan. 1, will ask them accept another 20 percent cut.
